Between 2007 and 2009, in collaboration with the Fatih Municipality, he organized guitar workshops to reintegrate students with substance abuse issues into school and staged numerous plays and musicals with his students in cooperation with the Semaver Kumpanya (Istanbul) theater to foster an appreciation for the arts. Until 2020, he composed works for numerous theaters, including the state theater, and created music and sound installations for exhibitions in collaboration with artists. In 2013, he developed an interest in plastic arts and began working in disciplines such as painting, drawing, sculpture, and installation. In 2016, he started his career as an artist by being selected for the Mamut Art Project art fair. Between 2016 and 2024, he participated in numerous group exhibitions, collection exhibitions, and art fairs such as Contemporary Istanbul and Art Weeks, alongside two solo exhibitions. Since 2022, he has been continuing his work with Gallery Kairos and is preparing for the 2025 exhibition.

Murat's artistic practice and curatorial experience focus on the individual's position and response to societal phenomena, norms, and events. On one hand, he traces the footprints of the pressure created by authority on our daily lives, while on the other hand, he aims to enhance his individual experiences by examining different cultures and social structures in London, where he has lived as an immigrant since 2021. He intends to build both his artistic practice and curatorial work on these new experiences. The general themes he explores include queer issues, religion, sociology, politics, and philosophy.
